UAE, December 26, 2021, Intalio announces the signing of a partnership with Union Coop to implement the Content Services Platform. The basis of this agreement is to automate and develop the operations of Union Coop, the leading retail and supermarket chain in the UAE.
About Union Coop
Union Coop is a chain of supermarkets founded in 1982 by the government of the UAE, and since then, it has been establishing cooperatives through its 23 branches, 4 malls, and recently 2 grocery chains across the country. In addition to being the largest consumer cooperative in the country, it is the first consumer cooperative to include a smart shopping concept in many of its branches in the MENA region. Union Coop also provides, through promotional campaigns and offers, food, electronics, hardware, and household appliances to a great number of consumers.
Challenges and Solutions
This flow of operations burdened the business with loads of documents and content, which led Union Coop to team up with Intalio to provide innovative solutions. With Intalio Suite, Union Coop will be able to have full control over its files and information, automate its workflow, and refine its mobile application for both Android and IOS users. The solutions provided by Intalio include Data Capture with Artificial Intelligence, Document, Correspondence, Case, Records, and Meeting Management, in addition to add-on modules like Viewer, Enterprise Dashboard, OCR Engine, and E-Signature.
The software will allow Union Coop to automate, process, organize and store its documents to create a unified content repository leading to efficient management tasks, and reduced costs, effort, and time. Intalio Suite will manage the entire content lifecycle from capturing data, through correspondence and documents management, to electronic signatures. The implementation process is expected to last from January till June 2022.

In other words, we are creating a process known as Digitization by converting documents and other papers into digital form. The system creates a paperless work environment where the use of paper, like mail, letters, invoices, and any other types of documents, is eliminated or greatly reduced. This will save time, effort, and resources, in an eco-friendly manner.
